Glass cabinet on the façade of a building in one of Saint Germain des Prés posh back streets is all the space jeweller Simone d'AVRAY needs to display her latest créations.

Perched on a crismond-colored wall framed in apple green, the vitrine serves as a boutique, housing a beautifull collection of jewelry crafted by Madame D'AVRAY.

Her atelier, too, is on the premises to the right of the cabinet is a doorway that leads into a two square meter entrance way thats leads nowhere. Enclosed in this tiny space Madame d'AVRAY works on her pieces hammering, twisting, cliping, and joining minute fragments of metal ticreate spectacular adornments.

Her style is diverse, she follows no patterns or drawings, créating as she goes, and her range is vast. In her cabinet are ultra-modern matte silver earrings and simple necklace bands alondside lavish gold designs threaded with shells and crystal beading. There are traditional brooch designs made into necklaces enhanced with matching glass pearls, and large round polished-stone rings.

She also showcases items by other jewelers and works with a few designer friends to create one-off pieces for her boutique.
